Retinal Detachment

Retinal detachment (RD) is a serious, sight-threatening event that is most common in people over 50 – especially if they are moderately or highly nearsighted.

Syptoms of RD include: new floaters or "spots", flashes of light, seeing a "shadow" or "curtain" in your vision, and blurred or distorted vision.

There is no pain associated with retinal detachment. If you experience any of the above symptoms, call us right away. We use the Optomap Retina Scan to quickly and painlessly diagnose retinal problems.
